Blowing bubbles

Sorry for making you crane your neck -- stupid me turned the camera sideways during the video and I don't know how to rotate a video. This is definitely a "new parents" kind of video -- all he's doing is blowing bubbles and spitting; however, it's adorable to us...

Saturday, October 27 - Neighborhood fall festival

On Saturday evening, we went to the fall festival in our neighborhood. Elias finally konked out! We won a carpet cleaning for 3 rooms in our house!

Debbie T (one of Aaron's customers) sang in a band and E even got to sing. It was so loud, I'm surprised he didn't cry at all.

Tuesday, October 23

Elias loves his sheep now (that's the toy he's holding in this picture). He loves any small toy he can hold and try to eat!

Benjamin & Ray K. Benjamin kept giving E kisses but then E would pull his hair and Benjamin would run away. So cute.

Elias was riding Daddy's mower.

Monday, October 22 - More of Lori's visit

Colton, Bekah holding Elias, and Jon

Sunday, October 21 - Sunday at Convention

Jon was making sure Elias stayed in the bouncer (note the guns in Jon's hands)!

All eight of the grandkids.

Friday, October 19 - Rolling over!

Elias decided to roll over on Friday. Aunt Lori had been giving him lots of tummy time since she got here and it paid off! Elias rewarded us with rolling over on Friday morning. SO fun to see these milestones, yet so sad to see my baby growing up.

Elias with Cousin Bekah.

He thought Aunt Lori's hair curlers were fun to play with.

Monday, October 15 - Shopping with Aunt Lori, Finding Toes

I wonder what they taste like?!

Elias has found his toes...

This is the way Colton liked to shop...with his gameboy!

Jon loved pushing Elias around the store.

Sunday, October 14 - At G'pa & G'ma Hottell's

Look at how pretty Bekah is here. This isn't a good picture of Elias, but I thought Bekah looked so pretty here.

Uncle Tyson with E

Rebekah with Elias.

The nephews attacked Uncle.

First, Emily fills up the bottle...

...then she feeds her baby. So cute to me.

Saturday, October 13 - Drew & Letty's reception

Drew & Letty got married in May in Holland, but Aaron and I were unable to go, as I was pregnant with Elias. We celebrated with them last weekend, along with the rest of the Texan friends who didn't get to make the trek overseas.

E had a hold of Emily's hair! Luckily, she thought it was funny.

Some of the kids at the reception. From L to R: Emily B., Grandpa, Justin B., Colton G., Jon G., KayLynn L., Brent W., Brock W., and Brandon B. All cousins (some are 2nd cousins)

Aunt Lori with Elias.

Lane L. decided to give Elias a kiss.

Rebekah with Elias.

All eight of the grandkids (for now -- until Melissa's baby is born, due Nov 13)

Letty & Drew entering the reception.

Before the reception, Rebekah decided to give Caramel a ride in the grocery cart. Caramel was shaking, but didn't dare jump out!

Tuesday, Oct 9 - Sleepy boy

Elias loves his Johnny jumper, but it tired him out so much, he fell asleep in it!

Turn your volume down for this one -- it's pretty loud. Listen carefully and you'll hear him snoring!

Sunday, Oct 7 - Dinner at Mimi's

We went out with Nana, Aunt Nena, Aunt April, Emily & Brandon to celebrate my birthday on Sunday evening.

Saturday, Oct 6 - Fun with Uncle

Emily was being so helpful taking the towels to the laundry!
Uncle gave Emily & Brandon each a ride on his mower. (Emily & Brandon stayed with us from Wed evening until Monday morning.)

Emily & Elias await their turn on the mower in the back of the truck.

Uncle taught Emily how to be a real cowgirl with her thumbs in her pants...

Surprisingly, E actually likes this position...actually, he likes anything Daddy does.

After workday, we had told the kids we were going to take a nap. Uncle "couldn't get the door open" so he told them we would all have to just lay on the carpet that's on the front porch to nap. Emily promptly laid down for her nap, then wound up giggling after we did.
