Tuesday, August 29 - Signing

On Sunday, I noticed that Elias was signing for "milk." When he was wanting to nurse, he started signing milk, but then he also did it at dinner time. I guess the sign for milk is his sign for "I'm hungry." The sign for milk is like you're milking a cow. He only does this with one hand, so it seems pretty certain that this is what it means. Guess only time will tell. And, yes, we are working on the grumbling while eating bit. It never seems that Mommy can shovel it in fast enough!

Elias' room

I finally managed to get Elias' room put together. Pretty sad since by the time I got it done, he was 6 months old. And, yes, it did take me another month to take the pictures!

A Funny, Funny Dog

Caramel is supposed to be staying on her rug. Elias seemed to think it was hilarious when she got off it.

A Quick 7 months

I took this picture to show how much our little boy has grown. In the first picture, he's 3 days old, second one he's almost 7 months.





He grumbled while I was piling all these clothes on him, but I tried to explain to him that Simon had to put this many clothes on every day. Thankfully, we only have to bundle up a few times a year.

Monday, January 21 - A New Toybox

At first, I found that Elias had emptied all the toys out of the box and was tipping the box over.

The next time I look at him, this is what I see. I ran over to see what had happened.

No worries -- he was just laughing away. Apparently, it's funny to hide in a box and scare Mommy half to death.

Elias was very cool hanging out with Uncle Drew.

Thursday, January 17 - Playing with Lorelei

Elias loved playing with Lorelei, but Lorelei wasn't so sure. He thought it was so neat having someone his own size, espicially since most of the other kids around here are so much bigger than him.

Elias has now started to pull up on his toy basket when he can't reach the exact toy he wants. Notice how he has a shortage of toys...and this is only the toy bin for the office!

Monday, January 14 - Stealing Mama's cellphone

Do think this mischievous grin is because he's sitting at Mommy's desk or because he stole her cellphone?

Saturday, January 12 - Waving at Dakota

Elias has now started waving. He hasn't gotten down the wave-on-cue thing unless he's in a perfect mood for it, but here he is waving at his Dakota.

Friday, January 11 - Fish

On Friday, we went to Fish Daddy's with Grandpa & Grandma Hottell and Liz and Moriah. Elias loved looking at the fishies in the tank.
