hi! i'm not sure why your rolls didn't rise. this recipe always works for me. i really don't get the water to a special temp. i just run the hot water & when it feels hot enough i add it. sorry, i'm not being much help am i? did you let the water & yeast sit for a while to make sure it was working? good luck. let me know if you try it again!

well, the yeast should bubble up a bit & the mixture should smell very yeasty. did any of that happen?
